We now stand at a pivotal moment in human history.
Never before has anyone been where we now stand.
On the one hand we now have the ability to feed, clothe and shelter every person alive on the planet, to provide everyone with a primary education and basic health care, and to completely restructure our global economy to provide the world with clean renewable energy. Doing these things will restore our environment, provide jobs to the unemployed and create a safer world.
On the other hand, if we continue down the path we are now traveling, we face the prospect of our entire civilization collapsing due to global climate change, increased world hunger, falling water tables, and the end of cheap energy.
We are now faced with the greatest challenge ever to confront the human race.
If we succeed we can save the planet, if we can't we will face extinction.
We can either choose to save the whole world, or to lose it all.
The only question is what will we do?

I think the greatest issue of all is birth control. We need to stop populating. We now have too many human beings that nature is straining under our burden. I can't say we should let people starve to thin out the populace, nor do I recommend forced sterilizations (eugenics project). But I think birth control alone can lessen so many of these issues to give us more time to work on the others.
population control is a vital part of the plan... the most effective birth control is to educate girls... and by that i mean to allow then to go to school and get a job... educated girls have far fewer children... therefore universal access to primary education is a must... then phase in access to secondary and post-secondary education after that...
